Additional Rules & Regulations
Please read them carefully.
2013 Men & Women
All applicants must be over 18.
Alcohol and/or Illegal drugs are prohibited.
Completed and confirmed agreement must be signed before any competitor can compete.
All performances must be clean - NO display of erotic behavior, simlulated grinding and/or explicit music content.
You may remove clothing to perform; however, you must have suitable outfits underneath, no thongs or nipple tassels allowed.
If ANY of your performances are perceived to be too sexually suggestiveyou will be deducted points and/or disqualified.
The Organizers/Judges reserve the right to disqualify any competitor if they feel that any rules have been broken.
Live Props CANNOT be used - Humans or Animals.
Tape, Gloves, Ankle, Knee, Elbow pads or protectors are prohibited.
Trixie Toes and like equipment are allowed for Round 1 & Round 2.
Using the Truss System during Round 1 or Round 2 is prohibited.
Shoes are optional for Round 2. "NO SHOES are MADITORY for Round 1."
Grip Aids can be used - each competitor is responsible for supplying product to the Pole Staff.
This Division is for the experienced - *Make an income from pole dance: "Instuctor, Club, Performer and/or Competed on a State, Regional, National or International Level".
All competitors will perform in round 1 - The Compulsory....
Elimination process maybe excuted at any competition based on total numbers of entries, which means ONLY the Top 5 scores combined from rounds 1 and 2 will make it to the final performance round.
Judges decisions are final.
Professional Divisions winners have automatic spot in PDA Championship.
Please Note: Unlike most pole dance competitions; we don't ask competitors to submit a video that will be judged to see if they will be pick nor do we invite certain pole dancers to compete. We give every competitor an equal chance to be seen by the judges. We feel this is fair, unbais and very productive for every competitor that wants to grow in this sport.
Competition Breakdown
Round 1 - The Compulsory:
Minimum 3:00 - Maximum 3:15 minute routine / No Shoes / No Music
Floor work - Continuous 25 seconds
2 Pole Climbs - 1 Reverse
3 Spins - 1 on Spinning Pole / 1 Inverted
3 Inversions - 1 on Spinning Pole / 1 Aerial
1 Shoulder Mount - 3 Second Hold
2 Flexibility Moves - 1 being a split on a pole
1 Inner Thigh Hold
1 Drop Move
Round 2 - The Performance:
4:15 to 4:45 minutes Musical Performance
This is a freestyle performance.
Scoring will be done based on: Technique & Theatrical skills.
Creativity and Originality are very important factors in this round.
Judging Criteria: System Scoring 100% of points per round - total points accumulated determines winner.

*Pole Dance America is an open competition, a competitor can sign up anytime compete.
Increased registration will apply.
*We ask for video submissions for promotional and advertising purposes of each competitor and/or your studio affiliation - all video submissions must be in 30 days before each state competition. It's not required to submit a video; but to help increase the popularity of the event we ask, suggest and encourage each competitor to do so.
